Life during pregnancy and after the birth of a child may look much different than you were expecting. 1 in 5 women experience post partum (after birth) anxiety or depression. It also affects 1 in 10 men. Don't navigate this period of life alone. Don't suffer in silence. Postpartum Support International says it best: "You are not alone and you are not to blame. Help is available. You will get better."
Moms, dads, friends, and family- reach out for help with:
Our children sometimes struggle in ways we can't fully understand. Mental health concerns may show up as behavioral issues, struggling in school, crying/ outbursts, disturbed sleeping and eating, loss of interest in their favorite activities, and more. As children mature into teens and young adults, things can become even more complicated! The transition to college and adulthood is often difficult to navigate. If you think your child needs help, reach out. As a former school counselor, I also understand the in's and out's of school systems and know how to support the relationship between your child's mental health and school.
Healthy moms and dads raise healthy kids. Parenting is the toughest job there is and no two kids are alike. If you are struggling with behavioral concerns, challenging family dynamics, or even mental health concerns of your own, reach out! I'm here to help.
